Mark is the current collegiate Head Men's Soccer Coach at Division III Gettysburg College. During his twenty plus years as a collegiate Head Coach he has enjoyed five NCAA national appearances, and numerous national rankings, including a Top-10 National Ranking in 2002, a Top-30 National Ranking in 2007 and a #6 National Ranking in 2008. In 2009 the Loyola Men's Soccer program qualified for the Division 1 NCAA tournament for a school record third consecutive season.
Mettrick was voted MAAC Coach of the Year in 2001 and 2002, 2004, 2007 and in 2008. In 2001, the Loyola team advanced to the final sixteen of the NCAA tournament, and Mettrick was voted the South Atlantic Regional Coach of the Year. In 2008 the Loyola team achieved an unbeaten regular season (17-0-1) and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament. Mettrick was rewarded by being named as the 2008 North Atlantic Regional Coach of the Year. Prior to Loyola, Mettrick was the Head Coach at Division 1 Mount Saint Mary's College for six years, where he was voted the NEC coach of the year in 1994 and 1996.
Mettrick has directed his summer camps for over 20 years and has built a reputation for a demanding and quality instructional camp experience. Mettrick's camps are dedicated to helping young players improve their game in a creative and positive environment.Yours Truly,
